Thanks for the reply. I agree that the new signal is less noisy, but it's less interpretable too. According to my experience, a more noisy but interpretable signal is to be preferred against a clean but meaningless signal. Loadings can give us their own interpretation of feature importance, but it can't be enough, I think.
